The Bureau of Prisons currently has in place a prison-by-prison decision on visitation cancellations due to Swine Flu precautions.
http://www.bop.gov/news/index.jsp "Currently there are no confirmed cases of the 2009 H1N1 (Swine) Flu in the BOP. Movement of inmates throughout the BOP is not being restricted at this time. Institutions are screening new inmates for symptoms and isolating inmates as needed in accordance with our Pandemic Flu Plan. The decision to limit visitation remains a local decision. Institutions have been informed that they should post notices to visitors concerning 2009 H1N1 (Swine) Flu and restrict visits as necessary based on a survey of visitors to determine presence of symptoms or risk factors (e.g., recent travel to affected area of contact with sick individual). Family members are encouraged to contact the institution or check the institution website prior to visiting to determine if there are any restrictions."

Update:
Institutions have informed to resume normal visitation beginning the weekend of May 8, 2009. Any exceptions to this would be a decision between the Warden and Regional Director. Institutions are posting notices to visitors informing them that they should not visit, if at anytime in the last 7 days they have had fever plus either cough or sore throat. Family members are still encouraged to contact the institution or check the institution website prior to visiting to determine if there are any restrictions.
